Neurodiversity for kids

This book cover design, which emerged as the winning entry in a 99designs contest, is more than just a visual masterpiece. It represents a powerful tool to increase awareness and understanding of Neurodiversity among children, their peers, parents, caregivers, and teachers. The book’s mission is to educate and empower, fostering a more inclusive and empathetic society. The book is meant to increase kids' (as well as their peers, parents, caregivers, and teachers) knowledge about Neurodiversity. Teach them skills for being misunderstood, sidelined, and bullied, to increase their empathy and confidence, promote inclusion, and help empower kids to advocate for themselves and others. Key Elements of the Design : Silhouettes of Children: Silhouettes create a universal and inclusive image, allowing any child to see themselves in the design. It emphasizes the idea that Neurodiversity is a part of every community and affects children from all walks of life. Colorful Brain Illustration: The brain, depicted in a spectrum of bright, lively colors, symbolizes the diversity of thought and the myriad ways neurodiverse children perceive and process information. The colors represent creativity, individuality, and the beauty of different cognitive experiences. Symbolism of Neurodiversity: By combining the silhouettes with the colorful brain, the design visually communicates the concept of Neurodiversity. It underscores the message that every child’s brain is unique and valuable, promoting a sense of pride and acceptance. Tools: Adobe Illustrator + Adobe Photoshop
